Madison Ice Rinks Fall Victim To Warmer Temps | Public Spaces
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Due to the unseasonably warm weather, the Madison Parks ice rinks that opened earlier this week will need to close, according to the city of Madison Parks Department.
Only Warner Park Lagoon and Olbrich Park ice rinks remain open as of Friday, Jan. 6. However with the warm temperatures, these rinks may close for the weekend.
Madison Parks reminds everyone for their safety, please stay off the Vilas and Tenney lagoons. There is open water and thin ice. Water depths can reach more than five feet deep.
For the latest conditions, go to Madison Parks Outdoor Ice rink website at www.cityofmadison.com/parks/facilities/iceRinks.cfm.
