Bethel Lutheran Church officials said they intend to relocate or demolish the building at 315 N. Carroll Street, according to documents filed with the city of Madison.

The relocation or demolition of the vacant commercial building would allow the church to expand its ministries in downtown Madison in the form of educational and recreational space, public meeting rooms and structured parking.

The preferred option is relocation of the building, but demolition will be sought if relocation is not feasible, according to church officials.
