West Dayton Street to be closed Friday | News
Through traffic on the 300 block of West Dayton Street will be closed Friday so contractors can pour concrete for the Ovation project adjacent to Madison Fire Station No. 1, according to a release.
The closure between North Broom and North Henry streets is scheduled from 2:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., officials said.
Access to the Overture Center Parking Garage from the West Dayton Street entrance will be closed from 4 a.m. until noon, according to the release. During this time, access will be from West Mifflin Street only.
Access to residences and business deliveries on the 300 block of West Dayton Street will be maintained at all times from North Broom Street, officials said. Traffic and parking will be restricted on the 100 and 200 blocks of North Henry Street between West Johnson and West Mifflin streets between 2:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Parking on the 10 block of North Broom Street will be restricted for contractor staging, according to the release.
Officials urge motorists and bicyclists to use alternate routes to avoid delays during the closure.
