Hospital’s director of medical imaging recognized by professional society
A director at St. Mary’s in Madison received recognition from an international society of health care executives who lead the nation’s hospitals and health care systems.
Seth Teigen, administrative director of medical imaging for St. Mary’s Hospital and Dean Health System, recently became a Fellow of the American College of Health care Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for health care leaders.
“Health care management ultimately affects the people in our communities,” Dr. Thomas Dolan, president and chief executive officer of ACHE, said in a news release. “It is critically important to have a standard of excellence promoted by a professional organization.”
Only 7,500 health care executives hold the distinction of fellow. To obtain the status, candidates must pass a comprehensive test, meet academic and experiential criteria, earn continuing education credits and demonstrate professional and community involvement. Fellows undergo re-certification every three years.
