Pepper spray incident clears dozens from hotel ballroom | Business
Police said more than 100 people were evacuated from a downtown Madison business early Saturday after chemical irritant was sprayed in the a part of the building.
The Madison Police Department said officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Hotel Red on Monroe Street at about 12:48 a.m.
Hotel staff told police someone had sprayed pepper spray at a music venue in a hotel ballroom.
The incident forced the evacuation of the event attendees, which was more than 100 people, according to the report.
Police said no one was injured.
