Trespassing Sting Leads To Arrest | Crime
A 49-year-old man with three outstanding warrants was arrested as police monitored a downtown parking lot near Capitol Center Foods for trespassers.
Police said that Michael A. Woods was wanted on charges of battery/assault, escape and a probation hold.
At first the officer said he approached Woods because he appeared to be carrying an open alcohol container around 5:30 p.m on Tuesday.
Woods lied about his identity, but the report credited the officer's persistence in finding out Wood's true identity and making the arrest.
Woods is being held in the Dane County Jail.
