The library architects will be presenting their concepts for the exterior of the building and the floor plans at a public meeting at the Downtown Senior Center starting at 7 p.m.

It's the fourth in a series of meetings that started with broad concepts and narrowed down through an iterative process to a specific design.

Exhibit Tells Stories Of Photographers Living With HIV/AIDS

Overture Center officials were concerned that children who walk through the Playhouse Gallery on their way to shows could "connect sickness with genitals."

The exhibit runs through Sunday and was installed to coincide with World AIDS Day on Dec. 1.

The black-and-white photo is titled "Stripped." A narrative written to accompany the photo read: "I can strip everything else away, but the insidious virus still remains."

The Wisconsin State Journal reported that under gallery guidelines, the center "reserves the right to remove any work for any reason."

Badger Herald Rips Students Selling Rose Bowl Tickets

Badger Herald Rips Students Selling Rose Bowl Tickets

The University of Wisconsin-Madison student newspaper Badger Herald is ripping students trying to sell their Rose Bowl tickets online.

The paper published a list of students trying to sell their tickets to the Badgers' New Year's Day game, calling them "The Worst People on Campus." The list, published as an opinion piece on Sunday, called out more than 30 students who had put their tickets up for sale on Facebook Marketplace within two hours of the tickets selling out on uwbadgers.com.

The paper said some of the tickets, which were $150 face value, were posted for more than $400.

"Truly, there is a special place in Hell for people who buy Rose Bowl tickets with the sole intention of profiting from them. It is entirely unfair to those who actually love this football team and were counting on a cheap face value ticket in order to make the trip to Pasadena an economic reality," said the Herald story, which didn't have an author listed.

The pool of artists at the open house is comprised of mostly students, many of whom will have their artwork for sale. The proceeds from the show will go toward the department's Visiting Artist Fund.

In addition to the art exhibitions, there will be periodic glass blowing demonstrations, showing a variety of different glass-making methods.

The Glass Lab is located at 111 N. Frances St., adjacent to the Kohl Center. Due to heavy traffic from sporting events at the Kohl Center, it is recommended that visitors park in Lot 91, located next to the Glass Lab.

UW Student Accused Of Killing Mother Has $2M Bond

The University of Wisconsin-Madison student accused of faking the cause of his mother's death is being held on $2 million bond.

Chase Boruch, 24, made an appearance in Lincoln County Circuit Court on Wednesday. He's charged with killing his mother, Sally Pergolski, last June.

Prosecutors argued for a high bond because of more than $1 million in life insurance policies taken out on Pergolski's life weeks before her death. Boruch is the beneficiary of those policies.

The student told investigators his mother was driving when they careened down a hill and into Moraine Lake in Lincoln County during a fishing trip.

An autopsy showed Pergolski had "mild features of drowning," but also had injuries that would have occurred before the truck hit the water.

Boruch's next court appearance is set for Dec. 9.
